- More Than A Tour -

A Profoundly Immersive Experience

“In mentoring Shane in Nauvoo, I was impressed by his passion, sincerity, and dedication to this profound history. A visit to Nauvoo with Shane as your guide is not just a tour—it’s an experience that brings LDS history to life in a powerful and personal way.”

- Susan Easton Black Durrant
"When I left Nauvoo many years ago, I knew I couldn’t leave the tour to just anyone. Shane shared the same passion I had for the details of the martyrdom story. Life pulled both of us away from Nauvoo for a few years but our circumstances has brought us together again to bring to you the emotion filled narrative of the the last few weeks of the Prophet Joseph Smith's life."

- Dr. Craig Dunn

The Tours

Martyrdom Trail Tour - Nauvoo to Carthage. Summer Schedule: Mon - Sat 10:00 AM & 2:00 PM

“I can’t imagine leaving Nauvoo without having this tour.”

What this tour is not: This is not a casual sightseeing tour of Old Nauvoo’s homes and shops, nor a hop-on, hop-off experience for visiting restored buildings—that’s something you can explore on your own. This tour is something entirely different. It is an immersive, in-depth exploration of the tensions, betrayals, and conflicts that led to the martyrdom of Joseph Smith. A guided journey into the heart of the conspiracy that sought to silence a prophet and destroy a church.

You will follow in the footsteps of Joseph and Hyrum Smith as this guided tour traces the final 20 days of their lives in a powerful, chronological narrative. Carefully curated historical events bring clarity to familiar stories and introduce lesser-known insights, weaving a vivid, comprehensible panorama of one of the most pivotal moments in Church history. Stand in the very places where it all happened—where words were spoken, decisions made, and testimonies sealed. Whether it’s your first visit or a return to these sacred sites, you will gain a deeper, more meaningful understanding of the events that defined the restoration.

Retrace the final journey of the Prophet Joseph Smith as you travel from the heart of Nauvoo to the solemn walls of Carthage Jail, following the remnants of the original route.

Price $35 per person - 3 hours round trip to Carthage.

Prophets & Prophecies Tour

This inspiring tour through historic Nauvoo reveals a tapestry of prophecy, fulfillment, and divine purpose woven into the early days of the Restoration. Walk the streets where ancient prophecies met reality, and where sacred promises—both familiar and often overlooked—came to life.

Many visitors are surprised and uplifted to see well-known prophecies in a new light, while also discovering profound, lesser-known fulfillments hidden in plain sight throughout Nauvoo’s history. As in ancient times, Saints today are sometimes unaware—or too quick to forget—the miraculous works God has performed in our own day. This journey is designed to change that.

Created to strengthen both young and seasoned Saints alike, this tour reconnects our generation with the covenantal story of the Restoration of the house of Israel. By linking modern prophetic moments with ancient scripture, it calls us to remember—to see clearly the great things the Lord has done and is doing to remember the covenants made to Abraham, Issac and Jacob.
